Gibraltar
| Gibraltar is an Overseas Territory of the United Kingdom. It is located on
the southern part of the Iberian Peninsula at the Strait of Gibraltar that links
the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea and placing it between Europe and
Africa.

Gibraltar and the Costa Del Sol is probably the best place in Europe to learn
to sail. Our usual sailing area is tidal and known for its
excellent weather throughout the year. The Straits are particularly well known for regular breezes
either from the East or from the West which makes a good sail across to the
North African coast. The sailing is so good there are rarely days lost through inclement weather and sailing is rarely
spoilt by lack of wind.
Gibraltar Bay is sheltered so on those odd days when the wind is strong we
still get to sail.
Gibraltar is undoubtedly one of the best choices you can make for a sailing holiday,
course or corporate event. |

There
are long periods when there is no rain at all, but then, when it rains, it
really rains! As you see from this chart, most of the rain is in the winter but,
even then,
when the sun shines you will find it every bit as warm as the best summers day
in UK. |
